Guardians of the galaxy : The universal weapon - Lead game designer



Guardians of the Galaxy : The Universal Weapon was a tactical combat game that featured the Guardians of the Galaxy, past and present. The launch of the game coincided day and date with the launch of the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie and the schedule was tight.



The game was styled after Battleheart with its drag and attack system. When I came in as Lead Designer, I was responsible for the creation of the different abilities for the characters, interacting with the outsource team to ensure the character abilities were up to spec, implementation of the levels, and tuning the combat for varied and interesting gameplay.



Despite the tight schedule and the aggressive workload, we were able to release the game day and date, fulfilling several large contracts and scoring an 80/100 on several major review sites.
